Events and Projects
EFIB organizes different activities and participates in many events throughout the school year.

March 2011 - The Holi festival in the EFIB garden

The school could not miss out on Holi, the Hindu festival of colors, marking the transition to spring. On this occasion, the ritual is that  Indians get together with friends and play Holi with powdered colours and water. Part of the garden was demarkated and protected by tarpaulins to enable children and parents to play with colours (biodegradable) and water. After two hours of battle, everyone was washed and changed. The photos below speak for themselves ...

December 2010 - It's Christmas at EFIB
We had a full Christmas atmosphere during the party organised in the school garden despite the lack of snow and mittens.

School families got together around the Christmas market and games; face painting was offered to children and Pierre Péan's Association was present, which is one of the charities supported by the school.

The high point of the party were the performances by the students. Songs, theatre, and dance in French, English and Hindi  highlighting the international nature. All classes performed and 18 nationalities are represented!

Finally, all pupils received their Christmas gift by Father Christmas himself, before enjoying the festive buffet prepared for this occasion!"

November 2010 - Diwali exploration
From PS to CM2, each teacher planned to teach about Diwali (the new year for Hindus) in their class.
After an introduction about this tradition, classes from CP to CM2 built terra cotta lights, drawn with powder some rangolis with symmetrical forms on the stairs (CP, CP1) and they drawn rangolis with flowers in the playground (CE2-CM1-CM2).
PS, MS et GS tasted sweets (kaju ki barfi) and dries fruits (almonds, cashew nuts, sultanas). They painted Rama and Sita so happy to be together again. In fact, Diwali celebrates the coming back of the king Rama to his wife, Sita, in his birthplace city called Ayodhya. She would have been kidnaped and driven to Lanka island. Ayodhya residents, happy to see their king and queen back together again, would have lighten many candles in all the streets where Rama and Sita went through.
Dancing, children songs and offering of flowers were also planned for PS !

November 2010 - Holidays starting with tasty sweets made by Pooja : Le 15 Pâtisserie at EFIB

A colored buffet of French cube cakes was waiting for the pupils and their parents in the school playground while the final school hour had come. A true exhibition of colours and tastes, realised by Pooja, Chief of Le 15 Patisserie (JN Palkar Road, Worli).

From lemon pies to macaroons, including operas, French pastry flavours were savoured with nostalgia and enjoyment as all range of sweet pasties were made with recipes that were straight from Paris. In fact, Pooja was trained to the famous Cordon Bleu in Paris!

Efib is happy to contribute to this French skilled pastry development, whiche success permitted the opening of a second shop at Good Earth (Raghuvanshi Mills Compound, Lower Parel) where training is offered. Do not hesitate to contact Pooja, should you need more information.

June 2010 - Play at the Alliance Française
The Little Prince, by the CE2, CM1 and CM2 Students
A lot of hard work took place in order to make  "The Little Prince" a great production. The students practiced hard and eventually the big day arrived. The play was a beautiful poetic composition and the audience was stunned. A big clap to the students and the leading teacher, Anne-Lise Richard, for this original creation, which inspired and motivated an entire classroom!

A series of Plays by the CNED Students
The CNED students chose a play based on "absurd" drama. A comedy based on "l'Augmentation" by Georges Perec, followed by a series of small sketches that showed the fruit of the student's imagination. All perfectly organized and directed by their lead Alexandra de Montalembert.
